Problem solving + patience
The thing that I enjoy the most about making things is problem solving. I think that is why I like making up my own little knit creatures. This is a perfect example of it.
Starting something new
I started knitting one thing, changed my mind and decided to knit something else. Using one of my many calculators I figure out the number of stitches and then try to make the thing that is stuck in my head. On average it seems that I will knit something 4-8 times over. I start, I frog, I start again and so on till it happens. Trial and error.
Hummingbird
Finally it happens. I present my version of the humming bird that I saw in my yard the other day.
