Look! See? The Colors and Letters of Jen Elek and Jeremy Bert
Last Saturday my husband and I went to the Tacoma Museum of Glass to see the opening of Look! See? The Colors and Letters of Jen Elek and Jeremy Bert. They are a talented duo of artists who’s work is colorful, beautiful and fun. Not only are these two great artists, they are also wonderful people. After days of knitting, crafting and working in my studio I needed this and my hands needed a bit of a break. I want to share a few of the pictures that my husband took at the opening.
One of the things that makes this show so much fun are these letters. There are a few that I am sure that you recognize from business signs. Jeremy has taken the letters and made them so that you can turn them on and wear them. All the letters have their own power source and lanyard so that you can wear them or create words. Go on, play with art!
With the grey rainy weather that we have been having, this show is just what I needed. It is nothing like the weather that we have been experiencing this last week. This show is bright, colorful and light (literally). So if you have been hunkered down at work or home, feeling like you should get out or just counting down the days till you get a peek at some spring color, check this out. I promise you will smile.
