Sit with it a while

Tree of Life

Tree of Life

Last week I had begun putting things together.  Working out how to display things.  I placed pieces, built a few bases, sculpted claycrete.  The week was busy and I had to let things sit for a while.  Just a month ago I was struggling to just sit with each piece for longer than a few hours.  Now that I have spent the last week walking by them, stopping to just look at them I can see what I like about them and the things that I am going to change.

This week I learned to just let things be.  At first I had to stop myself from fussing with armatures, remaking things, making more pieces, ordering parts, and so on and so forth.  Then last week I didn’t have any time to fuss with my pieces.  My limited amount of time to work on these pieces actually gave me time to view and think about the way they looked.  Time stopped my fidgety hands from rearranging and allowed my eyes and my mind to really take in how I want to see the final piece.

For now here is a preview of what I have been working on.
