Time to MAKE

The Hi-Fructose Collection Book Bundle
I had totally forgotten that I had ordered theses just a week ago. It was an awesome surprise to get in the mail today. I love this magazine! It is the Hi-Fructose Collection Book Bundle, volumes 1, 2 & 3. Two+ years ago my husband introduced me to one of his high schools friends from back in the day. Paul Lee is an amazing human being. He met my husband and I in Tucson, Arizona for a late breakfast. “You are going to like Paul Lee.” my husband told me. He has always been good about introducing me to amazing people. When ever he says that I am “going to like someone” he has been right. We met and talked for what seemed like minutes but it was probably hours. Again my husband was right. Paul Lee is the best!! When we were parting ways, Paul Lee gave me a magazine that he thought I would like. He told me that Hi-Fructose The New Contemporary Art Magazine was like a treat for him to pick up. I feel that way too. It is an amazing collect of artists work and interviews. What I love about this magazine is that it features 2D and 3D art. Many art magazines that I have looked at feature mainly 2D artists. Every few months I go to Bulldog News (my favorite magazine shop) to pick up the new issue. I even know what day the magazine is supposed to come in. These books are of past issues that I don’t have because I didn’t know about the magazine before Paul. I am so thankful for my husband, Paul Lee and this magazine.
The other thing that I picked up this week is the Olympus OM-D EM-5. Yay! I love these micro 4/3 cameras. I know that you can’t tell from my blog but I am not a very tall individual. For the record, I am 4’11” tall. Being that I am on the shorter side, I also have small hands. The micro 4/3 cameras are smaller than the professional DSLR cameras. Perfect for me! There are more options than a point and shoot or my iPhone. I can buy different lenses for this camera and it has more options than my PEN-3. It takes better pictures in low light, has better weather sealing for our Seattle weather, and I can still use the lenses that I have. I am kinda a camera geek but I have a limited budget and small hands. This camera fits in an old purse that I use as a camera bag and is so much fun to use. I can’t wait to play with this more.
With all the things I got this week, I don’t have much excuse not to be inspired to make things.
